The Sony Rialto Extension System transforms the Venice Camera into an even more versatile filmmaking tool. The Extension System essentially frees the sensor and lens from the rest of the camera body (connected only by a tether), allowing more freedom with camera placement and movement. Practical applications include 3D rigs (such as what James Cameron used in his Avatar series), placing the camera in tight corners, mounting it on a gimbal designed for smaller cameras, and more. The Rialto System has a 9-foot tether with an optional 9-foot extension cable, allowing the Venice to be extended by as much as 18 feet.
